Alan Waken and Max Payne's return are without denying a tough thing, but will you remember someone still in Quantum Break?
Domestic Remedy is a busy gaming house today. In addition to the upcoming survival of Waken_, the studio announced that it would bring max Paynen in the first and second part of the collaborative pack to modern platforms, using their own Northlight game engine. When Remedy recently asked Rockstar, who owns the rights of the series, whether the company would be interested in working together, the answer was "will". Or in this case, probably, "We do". However, both projects will be in the future in the future, so let's take a look at the 2016 quantum Break.

starring and a handful of "dollars
Quantum Breaki had once been made for five long years, and so much was invested in so much that Remedy and Microsoftka did not want to comment on the final size of the budget. Also, it did not arouse any feelings in my acquaintance in advance, but by that time the most expensive domestic video game was mainly ignored by a shrugging. “AI Remedy will release a new game? Well, nice. ” Or: "comes to Xbonen, I don't buy." Or: "Oh, the generic looks like." Frankly, I was a little worried about what kind of output it would eventually come from, because in the pictures qb looked very clinical and even impersonal. Of course, I left the pre -videos completely because I wanted to experience the work as blind as possible.
Quantum break begins in very calm characters: Paul Serene ( Aidan Gillen ), Director of Monarch Solutions, invites his old friend Jack Joyce ( Shawn Ashmore ) to watch his (on his own) great invention where Jack's brother William ( *) has been in the game of his fingers. As Jack jogs towards a huge complex while watching Paul, the player notices a college building, which is surrounded by extinguishing students who are opposed to Monarch. There are also a lot of documentaries, tags and a pretty fun Easter Egg in the nearby road, so your eyes are open.

In a Remedy -specific style, little eyelids for old games can be found along and boy anyway. In addition, reading the world's hints is worthwhile to better find out what is happening in the background. So I appreciate the effort that Remedy has seen everything about Lore, but sometimes hints and, above all, reading breaks a little too much of the progress of the progress. For example, in the wake of Ala this collection spectrum, I think, was better balanced to the game. However, this is just a beauty mistake that bothers you less, the more you like collecting.
But: As you might guess, when something so big is going on, everything goes wrong. Paul wants to show how the device is traveled back in time, and when at the time of the start, "pop", Paul and Jack are exposed to quantum radiation, giving both time -management forces. The dramatically ending escape begins, which makes the story really starts.
There is stuff on the screen.
Behind the screen
Let's talk about the graphics: quantum break was once a great work. Even though the resolution is modest 720p. The environments are still quite pretty and detailed to this day, and the realistic color scheme of the work (without HDR!) Brings a very different feeling to the game. Unfortunately, QB is not tailored to Xbox Series at the time of writing, but the 1440p resolution and 30 Freim screen refinement of the Xbox One X update is the maximum to reach. Of course, PC is better.
The character models also have to give a special mention, as Remedy made the molds even from the actors' tooth models so that everything would look as genuine as possible. The bet was worthwhile because the expressions and gestures are the absolute best of the previous console generation. At that time, I thought the difference between the TV episodes and the game image was surprisingly small, but by taking out the difference between fan glasses, you will notice more clearly.
Then to the most sharing section, the TV episodes. Was this the moment when the afternoon club and cardboard responses of the FMV video clips seen in the 90s returned? The answer is no, because the production values are right and the acting is natural enough. The most successful aspects of the "TV series" are probably guidance, rhythm and cut, and the show's mood is one with the atmosphere of the game. All in all, it works well as a tool for plot transport. People would once be boring from the beginning, but I don't quite understand this, because where in between, for example, the computer hook Charlie would have been introduced?
During the four TV sections, life includes life within Monarch Solutions and can see, inter alia, the soul life of the "main transactions" or Mr. Hatchi and Martin Hatch ( Lance Reddick ). Hatch is calculating and colder, while Serene is a very human relationship that presses with your own hallucinations and paranoia. It is to be confusing to say that the whole will work, partly, because Serene and Hatch are more interesting than our main character. Jack is somehow a little woody, and no charisma is not enough.
But on the other hand, it would be the first and not to probably the last time the characters around the main character are more interesting.
Lance Reddick and Aidan Gillen aggravating.
stable hands, gel abilities and lame control
In 2016, the "protective risk clamps" were still in, so this is reflected in the QUANTUM BREAKIN fighting mechanics, even a fairly twofold case. As the game progresses, Jack gets access to more than one-time capability, such as protection, teleport portfolio, a longer spurt, a taller slow-down, time deceleration and bomb. With these abilities, the battle is a place in some places to be extremely satisfactory and fun, and in addition to different time scenes, the lack of launching even tactical elements.
Instead, the weaknesses of controls come out at points where Jack can not use their abilities, as well as at the beginning with abilities (such as close-purpose). The Lord is not able to shoot the squat, which brings the player unnecessarily exposed to the enemies. Protective of enrollment works between how happens: Sometimes Jack goes right to protect himself, sometimes again no. In particular, due to this, the absence of a protective pin is a completely incomprehensible design solution. However, aimed at excellent ways, so all "timeless" abilities are not wrenched.
There is a timepiver here.
With time everything is right
Overall, quantum break is quite a great case that the dental of the time has squeezed moderately. As a whole, it is, above all, an entertainment product and as such as an excellent. Great thanks to this is a special instructor Sami Lake for both scriptwriters, ie Mikko Rautalalahti and to Tyler Burton Smith , who managed to keep the yarns in the pile and make a credible scientist that keeps the logic and the player in turning to the end. And afterhand the "big annoyer" to the retrieval, ie Petri Alango forced to give a full knife from the audio track.
Remedy was bold to try to try a new approach and succeeded in it. QUANTUM BREAK None in any name flawless, but on the other hand, when the final texts roll in the screen, there was a need for this to get this occasionally? It would not be disadvantaged, as the final settlement left the doors for a seponne's back to a possible extension portion and are not closed at least so far. Currently, Remedy has to be full of hands, but it is interesting to see if the Finnish Studio title back will bring back the title in the form of a TV series, as the hints are in the direction of the other direction.
Thank you for remedy that you are existing. You have not been boring to your product.
